The RPG from Bethesda Game Studios has long been rumored for PS5 as more and more Xbox first-party games get ported to Sony's system.Reliable leaker NateTheHate2 stated on X that Starfield will be revealed for PS5 in 2026 while responding to a question about the port. In August, a report noted that the RPG is set to launch on Sony's system in the spring--possibly alongside a second expansion. In fact, Bethesda seemed to tease the name Terran Armada in a two-year-anniversary video for Starfield back in September. At the beginning of the year, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer wouldn't rule out Starfield coming to PS5. Then, in March, the Bethesda Creation Kit website even featured a PS5 logo for a Starfield mod at one point.Continue Reading at GameSpot0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 0 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.GAMESRADAR.COMScrew up too hard in The Outer Worlds 2 and your companions may fight you "to the death" because Obsidian wanted the RPG's cast to feel "like they're their own people"The loyalty of your companions in The Outer Worlds 2 isn't guaranteed, as Obsidian has revealed they'll absolutely turn on you - and even try to kill you - if they disapprove of your actions enough.Talking to Xbox Expansion Pass, Obsidian's Matt Singh and Brandon Adler share new insights into companion behavior and how companions are designed to feel like three dimensional, independent, freethinking people instead of yes men for the player."One of the things that was really important is we wanted these characters to feel like they're their own people," said Singh. "They have their own goals, their own motivations, and if the player's aligning with them, that's great. They're going to be there for you. They'll fight alongside you. But if you go against their interests, they're going to have something to say about it. That might break out into a conflict, that might mean they leave you or you have to fight them to the death. But if you do build that relationship with them, they'll be there for you in the end."Managing a cast of companion characters is one of the mainstays of traditional RPGs, often requiring the player to decide between appeasing one companion over another and leading to deaths and/or departures depending on player choice. The Outer Worlds 2 isn't the first to escalate the stakes to potential full-blown violent conflict between player and companion, but it is a first for the series. It's also in stark contrast to Obsidian's 2025 RPG Avowed, in which companions stick by your side pretty much no matter what.Adler explained that, in The Outer Worlds 2, companions will actually give you the heads up when they're about to turn on you."There's some pretty serious points in the story where things can happen and go south where they may say something even as simple as, 'You're going to take me along on this thing,' and depending on how you've treated them or how you continue to treat them, that could have big implications," said Adler."There's things you can do to the companions that other companions really don't like. And they'll let you know beforehand, like, 'Hey, if you do this, this is a point of no return with me,' kind of thing."All of this is in service of making companions feel "more realistic with how they dealt with the player and just reacted to the things that were going on around them," added Adler. "And that was something that we didn't really have in the first game all the time, but we really wanted to make sure the players felt that in the second one."The Outer Worlds 2 launches October 29 for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 0 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.GAMESRADAR.COMStranger Things showrunners confirm Eddie Munson is well and truly dead: "He's fully under that ground"Joseph Quinn's Eddie Munson was one of the breakout characters of Stranger Things season 4, making a huge impression on fans before his death. And though many viewers would love a comeback in the impending Stranger Things season 5 - and Quinn himself has played coy about what's next - the show's co-creator Matt Duffer has confirmed that Eddie is as dead as a doornail."I love that Joe Quinn is toying with people! But no, he's dead," Matt Duffer tells Empire. "Joe is so busy, anyway, that everyone should know he's not coming back. He's shot like five movies since! When the hell has he got time to come and shoot Stranger Things? No, sadly, RIP. He's fully under that ground."Eddie Munson was a cool older brother character for the kids of the Stranger Things cast, shredding guitar, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and fighting tooth and nail against the forces of the Upside Down, sacrificing his life to save his friends by distracting the evil beings with the power of his metal.Quinn recently rose to massive stardom as the MCU's Johnny Storm/Human Torch in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, perfectly embodying Johnny's devil-may-care attitude while also giving him an important dose of emotional depth.Stranger Things season 5 marks the end of the venerable Netflix streaming series, which quickly rose to popularity to become a sci-fi franchise all its own. The show debuted all the way back in 2015, with a new season dropping just about every two years.Stranger Things season 5, Volume 1, arrives this November 26, with volumes 2 and 3 following soon after on December 25 and December 31. Until then, fill out your watchlist with our guide to the best shows on Netflix.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 0 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.GAMESRADAR.COMThe Steam store just added a feature I didn't know I needed until Valve pointed it out: a dedicated page for every bundle containing a gameToday in features you didn't realize are actually really useful, Steam has recently added a way of seeing how many bundles a specific game is currently in. If you're looking for a release and open to a combo, you can now find out if there's a deal going with some other games you may find worthwhile. At any given time, there are tons of special offers going on Steam. Valve's marketplace is a hotbed for discounts and packages, as developers and publishers hope to attract your attention enough to make yet more sales. You can frequently find something you're looking for in a bundle of some sort, whether that's containing all the released DLC and the soundtrack, everything in the series to date, the publisher's entire catalog to date, or something else. Now, you can filter for these combined reductions - with one caveat. The function only works if there are three or more bundles available at the time of searching. But such a rule helps exclude a constant stream of 'X and sequel' or 'X and DLC' to prioritize varied and more helpful options when they're available. Have a look at the dedicated pages for Blasphemous bundles and indie ally Palworld for reference. The default filter is by popularity, showing you what packages have been picked up the most thus far. A handy starting point, since that'll often coincide with being the strongest value for money.Other settings are name and price, the latter being the more useful of the two. Perhaps you can get Tunic and two similar roguelikes for a bargain? Or Borderlands and some other looter-shooters for the combined total of a brand new triple-A experience?Very handy. The button for this is available store-wide now. Take a look the next time you're browsing, though I warn you now: even testing it out may lead to a purchase or three."Don't tell Valve I told you this": Industry expert warns devs that Steam "is an engine that turns magic into money," and you can't break into "Real Steam" until you have the magic0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 0 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.GAMESRADAR.COMEx PlayStation exec says Sony can't keep "increasing the graphics power" with new consoles after tech plateau, but PS5 has already "made almost every game a better game"You know how that old song goes you say 120fps, I say 60fps / you say ray tracing, I say I'm so bored, I just fell asleep / let's call the whole thing off! Something like that. That's what it might as well be now that multiple industry leaders, including former PlayStation Indies head Shuhei Yoshida, agree that gaming technology has hit a big brick wall."Graphics [have] almost hit the level that even I cannot tell the difference between some of the [graphical capabilities] like ray traced or not ray traced, unless it's side by side, or higher frame rate," Yoshida says during a recent episode of Skill Up's Friends Per Second podcast. Not long ago, former Sony CEO Shawn Layden expressed a similar sentiment, wondering, "How many of us can really tell the difference between 90 frames per second and 120 frames per second?" Even PlayStation design consultant Mark Cerny who's worked with Sony through multiple console cycles and helped create the PS4 and PS5 feels like "the current approach" to ray tracing and lighting "has reached its limit."Continuing this point, Yoshida says about PlayStation that, "clearly they just cannot do the same thing they have been doing, [which] is increasing the graphics power and providing high-end experiences."With the superheroic power of the PS5, though, that may not be the worst thing ever. Yoshida explains: "I think PS5 is amazing system in terms of quality of experience. I think the adoption of SSD was like an almost miracle.""I think PS5 and SSD has made almost every game a better game," he concludes."This will be faster than the PS5 Pro" leaks suggest the PS6 will be cheaper thanks to its AMD chip and could be here by 2028.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 0 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.GAMESRADAR.COMThis Japanese Switch 2 accessory is finally making its way to the USIt's a great day for Fortnite Festival fans and any Switch 2 players who want to polish up their guitar skills. It's taken only a matter of months for Nintendo's latest gaming platform to get not one, but two guitar controllers. There are so many Switch 2 accessories to keep tabs on already, but the list of controllers made specifically for the platform is still yet to pick up speed. If you've paid far too much attention to Nintendo Directs in recent years, you'll know that folks in Japan have had access to a really nifty accessory from Hori. While most guitar controllers don't go further than your typical Guitar Hero timepiece, the Guitar Life peripheral takes a slightly different approach. After a roughly a year on the shelves in Nintendo's home turf, it's finally being made available to US gamers.HORI Guitar Life Bundle | $99.99 at AmazonFollowing its initial stint on the Japanese shelves, you can now pre-order the Guitar Life bundle in the US, with its release set for right before Christmas, on December 15, 2025.UK: This one doesn't seem to be available in the UK yet, but hopefully an arrival in the States means it's slowly making its way to international marketsView DealIt's not the most conventional look for a gaming accessory, but its unique design is a lot more in-keeping with the way you hold a classical guitar, and offers a more technical fret board that looks more like actual strings. The controller is designed to be used with the game Guitar Life, which will let you learn the basics of guitar chords, songs, and techniques using your Switch 2 console. This accessory is officially licensed by Nintendo, with the bundle above also packing three individual songs and a download code for a further ten songs via a DLC pack.If you're not that bothered about learning the actual guitar and you'd rather shred some well-known songs in a rhythm game like Fortnite Festival, your Nintendo horizons have been broadened in other ways too.The Gibson Les Paul guitar controller has had Switch support since launch, and although its new Cherry Sunburst Collector's Edition has just been made available for pre-order at CRKD, its old rival is joining the Nintendo fun.Turtle Beach has just launched a new Nintendo Switch 2 edition of its PDP Riffmaster controller, now bringing it to all major platforms. The Riffmaster has enjoyed its first year on the shelves, and a few discounts along the way, but this is the first time it's hit a Ninty handheld.PDP Riffmaster Controller for Switch 2 | $149.99 at AmazonThe Riffmaster is already available for PS5 and Xbox Series X players, with each of those versions sharing compatibility as PC controllers. Now, this Switch version will work with the original Nintendo console from 2017 as well as the Switch 2.UK: 148 at AmazonView DealIt makes sense, one of my favorite things about the Riffmaster is how portable it is. Where clunky guitar controllers of yesteryear were a bit awkward to try and tidy away, the Riffmaster has a brilliant folding neck that means you can stow it away, or take it on the go with you if you're headed to a jam session at a friend's house.Sure, playing with a full-sized guitar controller on a relatively small screen while on the go is probably not anyone's ideal setup. But if you do tend to travel often, or you want to be able to keep the kids happy while on a trip, the portability of both the Riffmaster and the Switch 2 will pair really nicely together.(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)At present, the Riffmaster and Gibson Les Paul controllers stand relatively alone in a new wave of Guitar Hero/Rockband era controllers. Besides Fortnite Festival, a free-to-play side project of the popular Battle Royale franchise, there aren't too many games to play with these controllers. It also doesn't seem like we'll be getting a companion drumkit, a karaoke mic, or other options anytime soon. I for one would love to see a revival of this era - even if the original wave of these games became so unsustainable due to licesning costs.GuitarLife does point to a really cool new lease of life for musical rythm games blending with instrument learning, however. People are frequently using the best VR headsets to brush up on their piano skills, for example, especially now that headsets like the Meta Quest 3S have handy mixed reality quirks. VR has definitely shone a spotlight on rythm games like Beat Saber, and Maestro puts a unique orchestral spin on the traditional Guitar Hero formula.Either way, if you own a Switch 2, your opportunities for honing your axe skills are growing.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 0 Views 0 Anteprima
