As we celebrate the 4th of July, we want to thank you for being a part of our culinary journey. Today, we’re bringing a classic American favorite to your table - a delicious, juicy burger that’s perfect for your Independence Day cookout!
Ultimate Independence Day Burger

β Ingredients:
Ground Beef (75/25 ground beef - 80 percent lean, 20 percent fat(sirloin steak works just fine ))
Hamburger Potato Buns
Onion
American Cheese
Pickles
Salt/Pepper
For sauce: Ketchup, Mayo, Mustard, Relish, minced onion, smoked paprika.
β Ingredients For Burger Potato Buns:
Quick Mash
β ~200g potato, peeled and cut
β 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
β 2-3 Tbsp milk
Dough
β 120-130g mashed potatoes, room temp
β 560g Flour
β 810g active yeast
β 45g granulated sugar
β 2 Tsp salt
β 55g. unsalted butter, softened
β 1 large egg, room temp
β 240g (1 cup) milk, room temp
For the top:
β Egg
β Sesame seeds
β Buns Cooking process:
β Mix the wet ingredients first, then the dry ingredients, and then combine them into a food processor.
β Mix on med-low speed until everything comes together into one mass.
β Reduce speed and knead until smooth and elastic, around10-12 mins.
β Turn dough onto counter and shape into smooth ball.
β Cover and let proof for ~1 hour, until doubled in size.
β Turn out and press out any air. Divide into 12 equal portions which weigh around 85-90g each.
β Shape into 12 balls. Lightly press each dough ball flat.
β Place on lined baking sheet, spacing 1” apart.
β Cover and proof until doubled in size, 1-1.5 hours.
β Pre-heat oven to 375F.
β Before baking, brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
β Bake for 18-20 min until tops are golden and interior temp is 200F.
β Let cool 5-10 minutes before serving.
