Steak Fajitas
Recipe here:
❂ Ingredients:
1 ½ lbs Flank Steak (sliced into thin strips)
3 Bell Peppers (red, yellow, and green, sliced)
1 large Onion (sliced)
1 tsp Ground Cumin
1 tsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Olive Oil
¼ cup Orange Juice
¼ cup fresh Cilantro (chopped)
Salsa (for serving)
Flour Tortillas (warmed)
Sour Cream (for serving)
1 Avocado (sliced)
Juice of 1 Lime
2 Cloves of garlic
❂ Cooking process:
Marinate the Steak:
- In a large bowl, add the sliced flank steak mix with the cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, olive oil, and orange juice.
- Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Cook the Steak:
- In the large skillet, add the marinated steak strips. Cook over medium-high heat until they are browned and cooked to your preferred doneness, about 3-4 minutes per side
Cook the Vegetables:
- In the same skillet over medium-high heat add a tablespoon of olive oil.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Sauté until they are tender and slightly charred, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Combine and Finish:
- Mix the cooked bell peppers and onions with the steak. Stir to combine and heat through for about 2 minutes.
- Squeeze lime juice over the mixture and sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
Assemble the Fajitas:
- Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
- Fill each tortilla with the steak and vegetable mixture.
- Top with salsa, sour cream, avocado slices, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
Serve:
- Serve the steak fajitas hot with additional lime wedges on the side.
